Giant moth on the porch

This 7" wingspan moth is called "Black Witch", (ascalapha odorata, superfamily noctuoidea). This is a female as evidenced by the pale bands on the wings. When they being disturbed in the daytime and fly through the orchard, they can be easily mistaken for a bird.
