Coffee drying deck

This is a fine example of the coffee drying deck with a rolling roof. Whenever the afternoon rains came, the farmer or his wife rolled the exquisitely balanced roof over the coffee parchment. Well constructed wheels on rails even the children could do this job in a moments notice. Honaunau, Kona, 1920s.
